Okay so I'm sure if you been following the presidential race things are getting a little out of hand. I'm sure the majority of you feel the same way as I do and think this political smear that candidates are doing is just out of touch from the real issues. That's why today I'm taking the initiative to put out a real issue that concerns all of us Americans.
A couple nights of go I got in a really deep discussion with a friend of mine concerning the candidates position on taxes. Just keeping it real I for one am not an economics major but I do know a little something about where the candidates stand on this economic issue. Lets see the breakdown..
John McCain' says Obama is going to raise taxes while Obama says McCain's plan is to favor the rich. Lets find out the truth.
The charge from the McCain campaign: Obama will raise your taxes
The Truth: Obamas tax cut favors 80% of Americans
The charge from the Obama campaign: McCain tax plan favors the rich
The Truth: McCains tax proposal will benefit wealthy Americans and favor the rich.

Lies, lies and more lies
According to national polls, Senator John McCain has taken a small lead over Senator Barack Obama in the race for the White House. Many people are wondering, how in the world did this happened? Is it because of McCain's pick of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate? The reality is the Republicans are doing what they do best and that's run smear tactics, twist words and fill the people with lies to try to gain votes. It's that old style Karl Rove political strategy that seems to ruin everything. They realize that if they discuss the real issues and policies, they don't stand a chance against Obama. So it leaves them with one option and that's to try to do their best in filling the American people with lies and propaganda.
From the very beginning at the start of the primaries the Republican party has tried to do everything in playing the "experience" card against Obama. Did that work in their favor? No, it didn't do anything, as you can see Obama is the Democratic candidate and is one his way to winning the election. So what do you do next? YOU TRY SOMETHING ELSE. The American people believe that Senator Obama's judgement and his belief in change and hope for this country is what's needed. We're tired of the lies and having our liberties stripped away from us. So that's why we're making a choice in a candidate who promotes change rather than someone who's for keeping the country where it's at today. John McCain on the other hand lost the argument over experience so he brought in the young Alaska Governor to try to promote "change." He totally switch his message and is trying to convince the people that they're the true agents of change. Wow! sounds pretty fake to me.
Next, If you look at John McCain and Sarah Palin's track record you can see that 90% of the time they're in support with George W. Bush. The Republicans can't dispute that because that's just the truth. So what do you do next? You now say well we've losed the "experience" argument, if we support George Bush 90% of the time then obviously we can't be the real agents of change.. hmm, well I guess we're going to do what we do best and spread lies and smear tactics. The truth is people, as of right now the Republicans are running ads filled with lies and non-sense. From every end of the political field they doing this because they're trying to escape the discussion on the real issues and policies that concern us. I'm waiting for Sarah Palin to stop hiding from the media and give us her thoughts on how she can help better the country. I'm also waiting for John McCain to step up as the "maverick" and stop hiding in the shadow of Palin! I know I understand we'd much rather see the former pageant girl than a 72 year old man who can barely get his points across. But the bottom line is this, stop the lies and please address the real issues and policies that concern us. We're tired of all the non-sense let's elect the president who has a plan and is the real agent of change, Senator Barack Obama!
